How to Glorify God Philippians 1:9-11 Delivered 06/21/1998 We want to look this morning at the ingredients of glorifying God. Paul is praying in verses 3-11 of Philippians 1. Verses 3-8 are a prayer of thanksgiving. Paul is thanking the Lord for the Philippians and the joy that they have brought him. Now, in verses 9-11, we have a prayer of petition. Paul is praying for the continual spiritual progress of the Philippians. In verse 6, Paul expressed his confidence in their continued discipleship or fruitfulness and now he prays for that continuance.
